Genline AB (Publ.) was founded on the idea of merging Sweden’s Church records with state-of-the-art technology to create a unique service primarily benefiting genealogists.

The microfilms of Sweden’s Church Records from 17th-20th century are under the auspices of genline and currently available over Internet.

Internet access to our service eliminates traditional limitations such as time and place. It makes no difference where you live or how you schedule your time–our service is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

genline’s Swedish Church Records archive includes exceptionally clear and legible images of each page of these original Church Books. Genline FamilyFinder 2.0 (GFF2) allows you to search, view, and print pages from our Swedish Church Records archive.

By the end of 2005 the Swedish Church Records archive will be available in its entirety. These records span a time period from the 17th-20th century.

From 1840-1930, over 1,000,000 Swedes—approximately 20% of the population—emigrated to North America. A large number of these emigrants came from the southern Swedish.

Our service is sold from our website in the form of subscriptions with many options available. Payment can be made by major credit cards. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.

genline have a collaboration with The Federation of Swedish Genealogical Societies (SSf), which is the umbrella organisation for some 130 genealogical societies. Members of SSf and their associated societies may be eligible for a discount on the annual subscription rate.
