Be among the first ones to travel to Sweden on a tour organized by A.C Events & Tours together with its local partner Genline FamilyTravel, a tour with focus on genealogy and your Swedish ancestors.
During 2007 Genline FamilyTravel and A.C. Events & Tours will organize individual tours to Sweden. One person or ten - no matter who you are or how many you are, we can customize a tour especially for you. We will take you to the places where your ancestors lived and also act as an interpreter if you need help with translating between Swedish and English and vice versa.

My ancestral tour to Sweden was a truly wonderful experience! After tracing
my Swedish ancestry through genline, I was able to pinpoint the
locations that were important to my ancestors. I visited the farm in central
Sweden where my great grandfather was born and was amazed at how similar
the geography was to the place that I now call home in North America. I
found the lovely house in the Old Town of Stockholm where my grandmother
was born, and the restaurant where her father had worked. I stood in old
churches and cathedrals were my ancestors were baptized, married, and buried,
some with histories going back to the 12th century. I expanded upon my family
research by visiting local archives. I was even able to find living relatives
in Sweden! I met 3rd cousins I did not know I had. They in turn, did not
know any relatives had emigrated to North America. I never really felt that
I looked “Swedish,” but these Swedes looked like me! We now
correspond regularly. I came back from my tour with a better understanding
of Swedish culture and my own roots. And I feel a little bit more Swedish!
